I'm glad Dad wasn't around to see me do it, but....

I used my LM Wave to undo a nut.

I was in a hurry, I was in a bad mood, and my 8mm ring spanner was no where to be found, so...old Wavey and a firm grip - and....off came the rusty nyloc.

(in my defense, the part wasn't going to be refitted, and didn't need to be kept in good condition, but still, I was raised better than that  :-[ )

Not today, but during the week I had to use my SAK classic's blade to take out a naughty metal stapler piece (whatever they're called) that had gotten stuck. Then yesterday I used my PS4's pliers to pull a damn zipper that had gotten stuck.

Also found out that I can't play jack smurf anymore

What did I intend to use it for? Cut some rubber band to finish the slingshot I started the other day
Whad did I actually use it for? Cut myself badly in the thumb  :(

My fault, I learned today that rubbery, elastic things and blades are an accident waiting to happen!

Nothing a bit of superglue won't heal, though

I used the G1 Wave pliers to remove the pins holding two wheels on a hand truck at work to replace them with two new wheels.

And as incredibly ridiculous as it sounds, I used it to  slash open my skin again.
My new PP  cut me badly,

That's what I call a "wicked sharp" blade, I didn't even notice at first.

I used the itty bitty phillips on a Charge TTi to open up a buck X-tract to replace its batteries.

I don't have any CR 1616s though, so it was off to Amazon.

So I'll be doing it again in a few days I guess!

I used to come here a lot.

I used the serrated blade on my Charge TTi to cut down and trim back some weeds that had grown up around my wife's uncle's headstone.

Had to carry a 8kg metal safe box around town, and the plastic bag was badly hurting my hand

I took oiut the SAK and used the so underaprreciated hook to carry it.

Being a thick, plastic-sided horizontal "bar" or "rod" the pressure was greatly distributed and reduced, making a much more comfortable carry

I spent two hours with this heavy box walking around, so I ended up with a sore hand anyway but it would have been way worse, and I had no bandana to wrap around the plastic or to protect the palm (as I usually do)

Don't laugh at the hook!  :salute:

you could have taken the money out, gotten a few drinks and then you'd be stronger and the box would have been lighter

I skinned and cleaned a squirrel with my Victorinox Executive yesterday. The large blade is the perfect size and shape.

(posting a link instead of an image, since it's graphic)

These little buggers are not satisfied to eat the seeds off the ground, they find a way onto the bird feeder, then start tearing it apart, so I drill them with my air rifle, clean them and eat them. I figure it's only fair: I'm feed them, and they feed me.  :D

For the curious, here's the airgun, an Air Arms TX200, in .177, detuned to 12 ft-lbs, down from 16 ft-lbs. I knocked him off of the power line from about 38 yards. :)

I use my Victorinox Spirit X to cut off the frayed ends of some nylon rope, and then fuse it properly with a lighter.

Came home from a days shopping and the lock on my front door jammed after 15 minutes of juggling around the key I used my wave to replace the barrel with one of the stock ones I keep for work

My rebar saw a fair amount of use this morning as I repaired a loose stair at work.  I pulled the staples out with the pliers, then used the medium flathead to pry a few bent staples out of my staple gun so I could tack the carpet back down.

Today I forgot my fork and I have a salad with chicken for lunch

I think about it, and like MacGyver I try alternatives

My Vic Executive!

At first the nail file, it worked for the tomato, but not for the lettuce nor chicken

The scissors!!! Like a fork, and if you open them are like a little spoon-fork!:

Passed proof!

NOTE: Despite you can think, the Executive scissors size allow to use them as a fork without being too big to introduce them open in the mouth
I didn´t cut my self!

I've carried my PST II in the mechatronics class I'm in at the local community college ever since I found I could carry a knife there, literally from day two on.

Today, I used the eyeglass driver for adjusting the voltage setting on a power adapter for a circuit kit and later, for a rather improvised use when one of the power adapters the other group in my class was using stopped working.  The instructor noticed it had triangle screws, so I tried the eyeglass driver on them and it worked, much better than I thought. I used the Phillips during one of the breaks for tightening a "No Smoking" sign located outside  because I noticed it was loose.
