My Rubik's Cube fell and some cube faces popped out. I put them back randomly and the Cube proved unsolvable next time I played with it. I disassembled it using Power wrench II as a gentle prying tool and corrected the mistakes. Now it's as good as new.

I had that problem with an old Chex promo Rubik's Cube that I got used. After determining that it couldn't be solved, I also had to swap some of its segments around. I used the cap lifter on my Super Tinker to fix it, if I recall correctly.

I was cutting this tip of roll with Swisstool serrated blade, but it was so thick that only a mora could be used relatively easy.

To remove old £1 coin trolley coins from new £1 coin trolleys.  All 3 rows out of action as a result.  The car boot Surge saw some daylight for 5 minutes. Easy to rip them out of there.  Gotta love the Surge

I used my Leatherman Free T4 three times yesterday:
1: Package opener to open a George Foreman Grill box.
2: Philips Head to screw in screws to hold a window ac unit in for bedroom window.
3: Large Flathead screwdriver to open up battery compartment for remote control for same said window ac unit.

Smurfing coaxial cable popped out again. I never bothered to ask the Dish (and later, once Dish got too expensive) or Comcast techs to replace it with a sturdier crimped unit; and it's had a push-on connector for years. I probably should buy the proper tools, and crimp on a connector that will be there permanently.

Surprised the Knipex 140mm combination pliers cut the cable, but then again there's not much metal to be cut--just insulation. The Smith's Edgework Wharncliffe did the stripping. Way too heavy for an EDC, but a perfect work/toolbox folder.




Did this yesterday, but I hadn't posted it yet.

The basis of my "super compact" toolkit is a Kershaw A-100, and I needed to hold a nut while putting the cover back on an outside light when cleaning the dead bugs out, so I clamped the pliers on there.

Spent the weekend in the backyard where my wife is going a little gung-ho fixing up the deck/porch following a home renovation that took way too long and in which the slow moving contractors had kept kept it covered in building supplies for the better part of a year.  Bond multitool uses that come to mind as I type…

1) restringing weed-whacker.
2) using screwdrivers to remove architectural elements from an antique piece of wood trim that she wants to use for some sort of decorative purposes.
3) using pliers to bend the cotter pin that keeps popping out of the gas grill wheel for some reason.
4) cutting twist tie off of new push broom.
5) cutting wire stems to shorten length of some artificial flowers she is using on her porch furniture tables.

And to think, all the Bond and I wanted to do was mind our own business and enjoy the pleasant weekend weather…women!

Today I used a Classic SD to trim Beijing's fur. Her terrier lineage was becoming a little too obvious.
