I used the bottle opener on my Free T4 to open a couple beers over dinner last night.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Did not take pictures, but my handbag LM Juice was called for duty : used it to pull the needle from the fabric when hand stitching the finitions of my latest backpack mod!
Meet me also on youtube & instagram for mostly knives (and multitools) content

I do this every time the wind changes. I've used dozens of tools over 23 years.

Unclog a bathroom drain. I’ll spare you all the pics. I took out the screws with my Skeletool Phillips but the grate was stuck on there with the hard water and all. I tried the Spartan SAK hook to pull it up but it was too big to fit through the hole. The corkscrew kept slipping off. I didn’t think that the SAK screwdrivers could handle the torque. I didn’t really want to go downstairs and look for a pry bar or putty knife. Then I remembered my Colonial TL-29 I just started to carry around the house with me.

So I took the screwdriver and gently scraped and pried it off. My Tool of the Year!! That liner lock saved my fingers too as it slipped a few times.

Would love to carry the Skeletool more often if the screwdrivers were longer.

With the Tread being on sale I have been tempted. But it’s exactly these situations I’ve kept my wallet in my pocket.

Well I decided since Spirit is more of a Multottool than probably a SAK - I’ll post my uses of it here

Was about to leave our current place the other day and this buddy fell on the floor right in front of me.

Not good. Spirit Plus ratchet to the rescue 🛟

Those scissors won’t open quite wide, but oh man those are sharp

Has anyone tried to resharpen Spirit scissors btw? Is that even possible?

Sharpening scissors is possible. However, if they're anything like regular SAK scissors, you'll need to use a different angle. I believe Felix Immler says 65 degrees is correct.

Glad to see you're still hanging in there!

Yep, not fun for sure. And no matter how experienced and careful you are - no one is immured from accidents. Last summer I had one go in with the barbel for the first time in the about 15 years I've been actively fishing. It went in a finger tip and it hurt awful, having a pliers ( Wave I believe it was) allowed me to take it out and continue my adventures.

Here is what I carried today  : A Rebar, a current tester and a Case 18 Stockman.

The Rebar was used because of a reason I never would imagine might occur - my hands were wet pretty much all day (more on that later on) which led to my fingernails become unstably soft. I tried to open an energy drink can and my nails just bend without even moving the tab  :o So I took out the Rebar thinking I'd open a flat head or the can opener and "pry" it open. Guess what - I could not do that with my slimy nails either    What I could access was the pliers function and it did the job too. No pictures of that, I was too shocked  :D

The case saw a ton of work today. Cleaned and sliced about 60 pounds of tomatoes for canning. All done with this knife. Lately I've learned that small blades carry tons of utility in certain tasks. In the beginning of the summer I used the spay blade on in to clean 15 pound of cherries for the freezer.

And here comes the current tester need. After you can food you usually need to boil jars in order to vacuum the cap. My redneck engineer arse that came out with that device out of an ancient washing machine and a huge portable heater did not want to get electrocuted.

It was a ton of work but healthy and delicious food is worth it. Next farmer's market is Wednesday so I'll probably make some more then.

Today was the Signal; the opener took care of opening /loosening the staples, the pliers detached them from the box, and the knife took care of the box to be recycled.

Spirit came in handy yesterday. Our parking lot sign got badly covered by constantly growing wild grape, so I used the main blade to uncover the sign

Turns out it was not really held in place by anything - so I used zip ties and trimmed the excess with wire cutters - super smooth

Package opener day

Used it to first open the box - totally love that I never have to worry about damaging anything inside

Then cut open my cherry flavored Animal Flex , cause my joints were really begging for it this time

Thank you my friend

well I’m ok for the most part - it’s just that I work out quite a bit and it causes a serious amount of joint stress, so I take Flex from time to time - at least twice a year would be good, every three months even better
