A Day without the SwissTool
on: August 04, 2009, 01:30:58 AM
Somehow I managed to leave home today without my Pockits XL that contains my EDC SwissTool, Mag AA LED, and Channellock cutters.  In order to get my work done, I had to substitute a larger pouch with pliers, mini screwdriver, 10-in-1 driver, cutters, strippers ahd shears.

It is amazing just how much utility is packed into SwissTool.  I can normally do whatever I need with it, my cutters and my Maglite.

You can be certain that I will double check before I leave home tomorrow.

Yeah, I can go for days with my EDC in my pocket and not use it.  Then the one day I forget it I need it.

Sod's law!

It´s an interesting phenomenon:

A guy who NEVER carries a knife will not need one on 99 out of 100 days. At least he will think he does not need one (and open blisters with a key and teeth)

A guy who ALWAYS carries a knife will find uses for it on 100 out of 100 days - and especially if he does not have one with him for some reason. I´ve seen guys having knives in their swimpants, you never know ;)

It´s the same with MT, you have to love them to miss them.

Come on people, get out of bed, pee, take shower, put on pants. If you're a SERIOUS multi-tool guy the MT will already be in your pants so you will NEVER forget it.

Or just do what I do and sleep with your MT

true.... somehow i feel uncomfortable........... like i forgot to wear underwear.

I've gone well over a decade without underwear- I don't want to go more than an hour without a SAK or multitool!  :P
