'The Behemoth ' / Wenger SwissGrip
on: August 12, 2009, 01:32:08 PM
Gadget Guy was exceeding generous in sending me one of his spare Wenger SwissGrip's. I had missed out on the last couple that had come up on the forum & Ebay. I had asked GG/John if he would be interested in trading any of his SwissGrip's & the fella just bloody well sent me one  :o :D :D :D. A million thanks again John. I plan on sending something in return buddy ;)
It arrived today & besides opening a toy box with it(talk about over kill :D :D :D) I have not put it through it's paces.I will use it but not as freely as my non retired tools :D :D.

I knew it was big just not this BIG :o :D :D

The tool did not have the original Wenger tool bits, lucky for me the MultiTool.org charter membership tool bit set comes to the rescue  8) 8) 8)

I think the Charter tool bit is slightly shorter than the original , but it slots in really well so I am again happy, happy ,happy :D :D :D :D :D
Thanks again too Gadget Guy  :salute: :salute: :salute:

That they do. Huge also.

I bet the pliers are probably one of the toughest out there. I could easily see my father gravitating to one of these on the construction site. He was always on the lookout for tough heavy duty tools.

Ooh, you do have a big one Mat  ::)

I don't own one but have had a play and it was a bit of a handful.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

But wasn't the Swiss Grip the prototype for the Ranger series?? :think:
"Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall;
 Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
 And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169

Much in the same way as the Soviet Union was a prototype for Venezuela.

Okay, not really. I just wanted to point out how big it is.  :P
