Got an update from my friend this evening.

Doctor says it's inoperable, spreading, and appears to be terminal....

Sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with you.

Unfortunately, that is almost universally the case for adrenal cortical carcinoma.  So sorry for your friend, his family and his friends.

My thoughts are with you and him

Well, my knee isn't any better and I'm out of work until Sept 21...unless they can find something for me to do.  We still don't know anything about what's going on with Kim.  She has to change doctors and go see a surgeon before they'll know what we're dealing with.  But, according to her, I helped her have a fantastic birthday today and that made her feel good and me feel so yes, it's a little better.  She's very happy right now.
Thanks for asking
Kelly

Hopefully Kim can see the surgeon ASAP and get that dealt with.

One of my co-workers is going through something similar right now.

August hasn't been the best of months, that's for sure.  I've been out of work for about 3 months now, which has been joyous.  And (in a trend I'd prefer to see stop very quickly), Mom just found out that the chunk they carved out of her at the end of last month was, yes, cancerous.  (This not long after my having to rush her to the hospital when she began to hemorrhage massively, and we found out her blood pressure had gone totally out of control...)

However, there are hopefully little lights at least in the tunnel.  They think they "got it all" in Mom's case.  And the guys in the office seem to think things might be (slowly) breaking loose on the job front.  We'll see.  I keep my hopes up, and keep puttering along.

So I'm going to send out all the spare good vibes I have.  I think we all need to share in a little good vibes.  Look for them up in Morgantown, bubbling up from down here in Buckhannon.   :D

Hi all,
Just wanted to give you an update.  We still don't know what's going on with Kim, but I had my Dr. appt today.  Looks like I'm headed for more work on my knee, but it isn't as bad as I feared.  Doc thinks I tore the heck out of my meniscus so I'll need to get that fixed.  Won't know for sure until after an MRI but hey, I didn't blow the ACL again so that's good news.  Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.  We really appreciate it.  You all are fantastic! :)
I'll keep you posted on the other stuff.
With great love and affection,
Kelly

That (meniscus) happened to my wife a few years ago.  For whatever reason, they chose not to operate on it.

Hoping for a relatively quick recovery.
