What is it with women and pink knives? 

I was going to answer what my wife EDCs but it changes every day...sometimes several times a day  So I'll let her answer that one herself.

Personally (as a wife myself) I like the Leatherman Skeletool CX. It fits nicely on the waistband of my suit, is discrete enough to be accidentally flashed while I'm fixing things (most important in my job) and rarely gets noticed as a knife. It's light, fits my hands, easy to open and the lock is reliable enough for me to trust it when fixing in the dark. It has all the tools I'm likely to need without also needing the toolkit.

Nuph leant me the Gerber Crucial to trial but I didn't get around to using it. Although they are weighted about the same and would be as useful as each other, I found the Crucial a little too bulky. I also didn't like the coloured metal - not so subtle under a black suit. I'll update when I try it out on the next job.

In terms of non mulitool EDC (there are other things to EDC?)....gosh, that's too wide a question. It depends on what I'm doing. I do however work away a lot and pride myself on being able to pack for two nights away in my modestly sized handbag. It always shocks me when the rest of the team turn up with rollalong suit cases that I could curl up and fit into. What do they need???

Hey a good phone IS a multitool! Mine has an 8 megapixel camera, video recorder, diary and alarms (portable memory), music player, calculator, internet browsing, gps navigation etc. It means I can go out with a pocket rather than a bag! The most important EDC item IMHO
