Well i'm all done here. Think i'll let this lie in the past now and move along.

I'll be sending him back his Swisstool in a well secured package like always and wash my hands of this.

Goin any further would be like beating a dead mule with a sack full of dimes.

Seems he disassembled the box. I do that when I ship stuff in an envelope, but apparently he's not very good at folding stuff.

In regards to packing and shipping, you may have all been dealing with a third party;

You may as well email him and ask for them back. Only takes a second and you have nothing to lose.

He may be a terrible trader, but I don't think he ever simply stole from anyone.

FWIW, he didn't leave - he was kicked out.

I'm not defending his actions. I just think you have a fair chance of getting your stuff back.

« on: September 12, 2009, 10:27:45 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All 4 leathermans are in excellent condition! I don't think any of them have been used. I am primarily looking for Swisstools/Spirits. I am also looking for Griptilians, CS Pocket Bushman, fully serrated Spydercos, SOG tools, and a quality Stockman. I can take pics if needed. Also, all tools have sheaths. The Charges have either nylon or leather, the Pulse has nylon, and the Juice has leather! Thanks

Yeah, we worked out a trade for one of the Charges, and then he disappeared. He'd wanted a Griptilian and Juice, we agreed to a Leatherman folder and Juice. When I asked where the Charge was, he said he didn't think I wanted to trade the Griptilian, so there was no deal. Then he said he'd traded the Charge, but if I wanted the xTi I could offer more and make a deal..I pretty much went away at that point.

I wouldn't have thought much about it, maybe an honest mistake, but after reading the thread on that other forum I'd say "buyer/trader beware".

I was going to do a trade with LM123 but he said that he felt I was asking for way too much in the trade....

He gives me a a offer of "Would you consider trading the SOG multi tool, rescue hook(model 8), and Spyderco(rescue) for a like new Leatherman Wave or am I crazy? "

And I am the one asking for too much right?

And when I ask how "new" it is he says no box and does not look to be too used...

I believe he is pretty young(in teens) and needs some time to get off the computer and start acting more mature.

I've got the emails where you agreed to the trade, which I could post but it's against forum rules. And I don't think it's that necessary at this point. Maybe you ought to lay off the online trading until you're a bit older.

Thanks Corrugated.  I signed up last night to see if I could read anything, but I still haven't been accepted.  Maybe someone from here should let everyone know they are trading with a minor.  He is going to soon run out of sites to trade at.  He has a negative rep here, bladeforums (from the whole missing Surge fiasco), and it looks like EDCF is quickly catching on.

Funny thing is... that's my Juice Pro. He said it wouldn't close right and the tools flopped out of the handle. ::)

Also traded me some subpar stuff for it, but oh well. I was being nice and only asked $35 for it, the junk about totalled that number I suppose.

This guy tried to trade with me for my Swissgrip.

He offered me a Juice Pro.

I"ll bet it was that same Juice Pro.

He went silent a while ago. I'm glad I never sent anything to him and I never got burned.
