I Finally Found it! (Gray's a goober alert)

Sooooo, I've had my Explorer now for a while.  I love it!  I love playing with it, using it, showing it off etc (Hmm, I really need some batteries in my camera so I can show pictures here).  Love it!  Climber is still my fave, but this thing is awesome. I must say that I really like the Plus model but for the longest time I kept wondering "where is this straight pin that everyone talks about?"  I thought, and forgive me, that I was reading "pin" incorrectly and that ya'll really meant straight "pen".  Ok, I know what and where that is.  So I'm cleaning my lovely little knife last night, clearing out all the pocket lint that likes to collect on it and in it, and as I was closing the corkscrew I said "What the colorful enunciation is that?!?"  I thought that my beloved Explorer was coming apart because it looked like a nail had been driven into my scales and I was wondering how in the name of Jesse James I had managed to do that?!!?  And low and behold, when I picked it out of there, with my fingernail I might add (Allan :P) there it was...the elusive straight "pin".  I was too embarrassed to ask you all about it (I know, shame on me) and there it was.  Wow. So, I've found it now.  I have no idea what I'd use it for but if there is ever even a remote possibility of using it, I will, I promise.  LOL!

LOL!  Yep, I sure do.  :)  And it is a great SAK.

Don't feel bad. My first SAK model with that pen, I didn't know it was a pen. I kept thinking what a huge needle! In fact, it took me a whole month to figure out that it was a pen lol. You got it. I started collecting and I didn't have a clue about some of the basic features. :dwts:  :D

If its the plus model or even any current model then the straight pen is behind the corkscrew.

Ha ha... yes, took me a while to find it too!

I got my swiss champ when I was about 18 and sat there with the tool list excitedly looking for each one. Couldn't find the pin for sh*t! I know I was quite excited when I did though... it's a clever little hidey hole  :)

It is indeed...Kim thought I was nuts last night when I started getting all bothered because I thought I'd somehow managed to drive a nail into the scales of it.  Then I pulled that out and said "Huh, so that's the straight pin."  LOL!  It is very clever.

Yes I probably should. :D  But like I said, I figured I'd just misunderstood something.  Glad I was wrong though.
