Anyone ever lose there multitool?

I lost my Wave and I haven't a clue where I could have lost it. It may have fallen out of its sheath.

I've "temporarily misplaced" my multitools dozens of times before but luckily, I've never lost them.  Hope your wave turns up sooner or later, ALP.

I fear I threw out my first SAK a couple of years back.  Does that count?

I lost my Rescue Tool once while working the road.   When I came back to the post I noticed that the sheath was gone.

Making a copy of my log sheet I went to each and every stop I made that day until I was lucky enough to find it.

The SOG sheath makes a great sheath for the Rescue Tool easy slip on and off but their plastic clips are not reliable.

Never lost anything yet for long. :D

I lost one of the American Camper MTs on the outdoor 3D range once. We looked high and low for it. Came back the next day with a massive magnet and dragged the area. That did the trick.  :salute:

Look down the back of the sofa, that's where most of my stuff turns up. In fact, hang on a minute, I've just found a Wave ... could it be yours?  :D

I've misplaced a few now and then but I usually find them. I had one stolen from me about 15 years ago. I was working in a lumberyard. I had a Supertool that I carried while at work. I put it in my locker and the next day it was gone.

I've been lucky with my multis and knives. I've temporarily misplaced a few of them, but have always found them.

Not a MT, but once, about 95 feet up an ice climb, I let the tool hang by its leash to shake out my hands.  The friggin leash came undone and the tool pitched off down to the bottom.  There were no other options but to finish the climb with one tool  :ahhh  and rappel back down to find the damned thing.

The only problem was, it was snowing like a b!tch.  My partner and I didn't get back to the base for 45 minutes.  We searched the area for about 90 minutes and then went for beer.  Had to buy a replacement.  $185.  :ahhh :-\

I left notes at the local gear shops, thinking that I'd never see it again.

Two months later, someone found it and sent it back.  :mail:

never lost a tool or knife as i'm paranoid too. I find knives all the time....mostly junk. I found a Case stockman in the lake once and a Gerber Gator while doing lakeshore clean up in Explorer Scouts.

I lost my first SAK ever, a vic motorist.  :( Must've slipped out of my pocket on the bus, and I can't even replace it because it's discontinued and rare now days.

RTFM.

1.  Drive a stake in the ground.
2.  Attach chain to goat (with a collar)
3.  Attach other end of chain to the stake.
4.  Come back in 4-6 hours
5.  Move stake to a new area and repeat as necessary.

tried it once. honestly it had less than a pleasant outcome. plus the stinking goat kept getting the chain wrapped up in the briars and kudzoo. it's no fun trying to untangle a pissed off goat.
i wish i could remember where i put that string i bought in the spring for my thing.
