I like my new ST300, it is a bit oldschool (conventional) comparing to Wave.
I painted the knife blade's finger groove red.

Got my BO ST300 back from Leatherman Warranty recently. Had a broken lock tab spring. Before I sent it off, I ended up buying a Silver ST300 w/Micra combo pack from West Marine on sale for $69.99.

I have the BO one in my truck with the Rebar Warranty sent to replace my broken Blast.

That looks cool.  8)
I was thinking about filling a few notches (gimping) on the cutout area and above the finger groove to go by feel on which side the serated edge and saw blade was on.

Pics of my BO ST300 and my SS ST300.

That is exactly what I plan to do next.

I received one of these for Christmas. It is a nice, very large tool. Unfortunately I have to send it back to Leatherman; the small standard screwdriver was not ground. I was trying to figure out what it was and was thinking it was a flattened Robertson Drive, but looking at images or it online I realized it was supposed to be the small screwdriver.

That's almost as dumb as paying the super-inflated price for a SOG TiNi Crosscut. haha.... hey, wait... :D

If it makes you happy, and you're not in so much financial strain that it threatens your marriage, then, meh. It's all good.

I, sadly, just stepped OUT of the ST300 club, having packed mine off to Smashie. I wish it well in its new home. Good tool, but one that is too big for any use I'll ever have. Now I'm eying the Rebar, though...

Wonder if I could use one to trade for a TiNi SOG Crosscut?

And now, I'm off to get a DLC Micra.

I gave a Sidekick to my brother (a handy man) two weeks ago as a gift.
Today he came to me with a complain. He was up at high ceiling working on a ceiling fan, the Sidekick was able to pinch the wire but failed give it a clean cut.

Since he doesn't care much about the OHO feature, I offered him my ST300. I told him if he can take the size & weight of ST300, it would be a much better workhorse for him than Sidekick and it will last a long time.

Let's see.

After a week of heavy use by my brother, no complain.
Since he is keeping it, I have to find myself a replacement.

This time with a pocket clip, much lighter than Surge :D

I no longer have a ST300, I gifted it to my handyman brother's partner.
It deserve a long hard working life instead of sticking with a desk jockey like me.

The ST300 is one thing I've sold that I do not miss. There are no plans to add another one to the collection in the future. The Rebar is a much better and sensible tool!

Just received a Black Oxide Super tool 300 from Leatherman Warranty 03/12/2014 in exchanged for my Leatherman Core. Zytel liners were wearing down on the Core and the pliers head was getting a lot of play. I'm very impressed with the fit and finish and build quality of the tool. Though it won't be an EDC tool, it will be an around the house fix all tool. Might see some back country trips on occasion. Real Excited Owner!
