Does someone subctracted your multitool?
on: September 13, 2009, 06:03:29 PM
Yes! Mine MTs were subctracted two years ago after a theatre show i  made in the summer. I am a theatre technician and during the set-down of the equipment one of the carrymen subctracted me my custom pouch with nr. 1 LT Surge BO, nr. 1 LT Micra, nr. 1 multi screwdriver for watch repair and other small stuffs inside the pouch, fortunally mine Victorinox ST BO was in my hand. I carried this pouch for many years and was a bad surprise for me expecially because they were subctracted by a person that was working with me! >:( I never found my pouch and i didn't know who was this f...a..h..!

Wow, that sucks Taro. :( I've been fortunate in that no one has ever subtracted a multitool from me. :) Probably because I'm so paranoid that I constantly check to make sure I still have everything I should have. :P

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I tend to keep things hooked on to me as that would piss me of lots!

Nope, no one has taken any of my tools.  I keep a close watch on my stuff especially when a lot of people are around.

My wife is always trying to take some of my tools mainly for the scissors. Then she picks on me when I want another.  ::)

That really sucks.  Losing all that stuff at once would make me sick.

I've never lost a multi, but have had plenty of knives subtracted from me over the years.

A few SAKs, a few Cold Steels, one Spyderco, and others.

I have the bad habit of setting a knife down while working on something, then forgetting to return it to my pocket when briefly leaving the work area.  What really sucks is when you are certain who took your knife, but can't prove it without an immediate strip search, which ain't gonna happen.

It's was a bad experience: now when i work in some place with a lot of people i take my m-tool on the belt and the others in my tool box. Here in Italy MTs are very expensive and they do to become some people in temptation  >:D

For that reason I never lend out tools, not to co-workers and definately not to contractors who come into our facility for a short term contract.  I can't stand guys who call themselves mechanics but don't have the proper tools to do the job.

They'd have to put their hands into my front pockets and fumble around quite a bit in order to get my MT away from me. I guess I'd have noticed in time to :twak: them... :D

Had one multitool stolen, when i was at uni someone broke into our house and took a few bits, including my rucksack that had an MP600 in it, they threw the bag away down the street but the multitool was no longer in it :(

And to not sleep through it....i have a great/not so great ability to sleep through most things, unless it affects the door to my room! I did have plenty of things i could have used had i been awake at the time ::) :D

Never happened.
But if it did, you would know.
'Cause I'd be expressing my disappointment in a very unsubtle way.

Ergo, it's always in my bag or on my belt. ;)

I've had other tools stolen , but no knives or multi's . The guy would be in a tad bit of trouble if I got hold of him . ( I once kicked the Doo out of someone who I found rummaging around in my tool box , nobody else on the sight would go within 10"of it after that . It was doubly amusing , in that asshat was at least 25 years younger than me .

lost a Gerber Delux a while back, and a new AA Maglite, I left them out on my desk after a show expecting to pick them up the next week and they walked  >:(

I spend 4 weeks turning the theatre over trying to find them in the hope I'd just misplaced them before I finally admitted that they had been lifted
