Thinking of selling my Ranger Renegade hawk..
on: February 14, 2010, 10:36:35 PM
I had a Renegade hawk made by Justin Gingrich a while back, but I don't see them anywhere really...are these somewhat rare?

Anyways I'm thinking of selling it since I don't use it (and could use the money), but I'd hate to let it go if it's a "collectable"..I'm at a crossroads :P

Another thing I've been thinking about is since Justin is partnered with Ontario, they might come up with a production 'hawk and drive down the price of my custom/handmade Renegade..

Should it stay or should it go?

The problem with custom hawks is that they demand custom prices. Seems like it was 2 years ago everyone seems to start to produce tac hawks. So prices came down. Though the ranger hawks are historically accurate pieces they are found other places cheaper. Iam a huge follower of spiked hawks and hever paid more than 60 for a true hammer forged hawk. My guy makes even the eye to your specs and they are great blades. If you like it keep it, if not well get what you can from them. Unfortunatly however they seem now to have follen out of the eye of most outdorsmen and military. Funny how things come into fad then leave.

That is a stunning piece

I'd bow down to John's knowledge on this one, as he really know's his 'hawk's :)

I'd be inclined to keep it though :)
