Stainless liners?

Victorinox® Pruner™
http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/product.jsp?filter=&PriceEnd=&CatalogName=&list=50&Feature=&SearchText=&Cat=1&Mode=Cat&Brand=117&PriceStart=&range=51&SKU=V53569

Didn't know that these have stainless liners.  Should be a little heavier but also a little stronger than SAKs with aluminum liners.

What other SAKs does Vic make with stainless liners?

This seems like a fairly basic question.

With all the SAK collectors, gurus, modders, etc. that frequent this subforum, seems like someone would know something about SAKs with stainless liners.

News to me.  Mine have got Al liners.  Have you got one with steel liners or was it in a catalogue or the like?
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Must be a typo since all Victorinox info only states a Stainless Blade.

You should just email SMKW and ask them to confirm whether the liners are stainless or aluminum.

Doubt it, stainless blade on stainless liner = major grinding.

HOWEVER, they do make some nice ones still with BRASS liners.  I think the Gardener/Horticulture series is the only one where you can still get the brass liners.  Unfortunately I'm not sure how long that will last.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Didn't know that Vic still produced anything with brass liners.  I'll try to find some info on that Horticulture series...
