So which Vic/Wenger knives have brass liners? I'm looking to try one out. Are brass liners better?

Sorry amatuer swiss newbie here ::) :climber:

Pioneers with brass liners are relatively easy to find on ebay and even here at times.  I wouldn't say they are better, just classier.  I have had a few come through my hands but I couldn't really tell a difference.

In the past there were various models with Brass liners, however they stopped that a while ago.

Currently it should not be too hard to find various versions of the 100mm Gardener, Grafter, Prunner and such with Brass Liners (the premium models).

Other than that probably the Pioneer with Brass liners is the easiest to come by on ebay, but you'll have to be careful and often this fact is not noted on the sale.

I don't know if they are better, but I like Brass.  I like everything in Brass.

It could just be me, but the snap seems better on the non brass lined ones.

That could just be because the brass liner models are older though.
