Stripper found at work
on: September 26, 2009, 03:53:45 PM
Sorry to mislead you people its not what you think.

The other day one of my red LED was out on my rig and while looking at it I soon discovered that the wire broke at the butt connector.

Taking the light down I cut the connector away and went to strip them and realized that this very expensive pair
of automatic wire stripper wouldn't fit in the space.

So out came the alox Electrician and 30 minutes later the LED was flashing again.

It is just like the state and government to buy you nice expensive toys when a simple SAK will do.

Every since I was given this Electrician I have edc'ed it instead of the Soldier (old)
I love the small blade and don't even miss the can opener / small screwdriver. Who would have thought I guess you can teach old dogs new tricks. ::)

Your title certainly was misleeding.  :twak:  You didn't find a stripper it was provided for you.

I'll let your explaination of how you overcame this obstacle stand.  You might want to remember this for your next "performance" review.

Yeah, I hear the government way over pays for strippers, especially in the DC area:

You have a trusty old SAK, who needs strippers? :o

I'm finding myself carrying the Electrician Plus at work , the small blade is a great wire skinner .
