For some reason it is only showing up in Mr Whippy's quote of my post http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,13413.msg265282.html#msg265282 but not in my original post....weird!!

I couldnt see any of them until I visited the page...

perhaps they only display if those pages are in your browser cache to prevent hotlinking...

Not that I'm for ramming the storage of the forums full of pics, but it's probably a good idea to attach info rather than link to it in case the other site removes it or goes offline... easier to search for in the future too if needed!

It would seem so. I'm guessing he's had problems with it stealing his bandwidth being so popular and all.

That's exactly what it is. I forget the Apache server parameter that does it now, but you can prevent hotlinking "or bandwidth theft :D" at the web-server level.

So what you saw above, was your browser retrieving the image from your local cache, if you had visited the link first to cache it.

I used to come here a lot.
