Anyone have a name for this one?  Looks like a forerunner to the LumberJack. 
I like how large the shield is and how thick the outline is.  They should go back to a bolder shield like this. Larger View

There seems to be a million different SAKs out there. When I first started, I didn't even give any one of them a second glance figuring there were only 20 or so different models. Oh how wrong I was.

From the looks of it, I agree with the assessment of it being and old PLumberjack.  Since it was obviously made pre-1969, and definitely before the 84mm combo tool, it would make sense to see a small blade opposite the main blade.

Nice find; I saw a pre-1969 Spartan today, myself... too bad it was someone's personal knife, and not in the best of shape. :)
