I think so yes. I had to send my P1D in once. Got it back in about a week. Great service.

I'll try and clear up the warranty issue,

Right for 4seven lights it's a 120 month warranty and I'm assuming they mean quark lights.

for Fenix lights it's 24 months  :D

But just to clarify

Here ya go  :tu: http://www.4sevens.com/information.php?info_id=5#4Sevens

Hope that clears it up  :D

Yes, it was 4Sevens that used to offer a lifetime warranty on Fenix.

According to John's link, it appears that has changed...

No probs,
The only company I know who lives up to lifetime warranty no questions asked is sunlite flashlights i.e  powerledlighting and also the best CS I've come across like recently one of my led heads flat lined...............dead! they immediately shipped a replacement before I sent the dead one back, beat that!  :tu: only downside is they're based in Lawrence, KS so waiting and possible custom charges have to be considered  ;)

tho some think the prices are high, I do not when you take warranty issues and CS into account when you buy a flashlight from them you really do have it for many years to come :D

Of coarse lifetime warranties do not include batteries, abuse, modding or scratches normal wear and tear it covers mainly the led and circuitry and bear in mind if the company went out of business then the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on  :salute:

I suppose it's too much to expect to have a cheapish torch to have a decent length warranty :-\

Depends on how you define "cheapish" - at some price point the hassle and cost of shipping outweighs the free warranty service.

If purchase price was less than 20 bucks, maybe as low as 15 bucks, then I'd probably just buy a replacement rather than mess with sending the failed one back.

I'd call £40 cheapish, as a Surefire for example will cost twice that for a similar spec'ed  Fenix

For the true Surefire afficionado, nearly all other brands are cheapish.

For me, cheapish lights cost less than 20 bucks.

Mag and Streamlight, from my personal experience, will repair or replace even very old, very inexpensive lights.

Both take lifetime warranty seriously, even when applied to their low cost, consumer oriented products.

MickyD, don't know if you'd be interested in this, but I came across two Terralux torches available from a UK supplier that look like good deals to me.

Both are 2AA torches:

A simple one level torch, 180 Lumen, with tactical forward clicky switch for 20 pounds plus shipping, IIRC.

A two level torch, 220 and 100 Lumens, with reverse clicky switch for 25 pounds IIRC, maybe 30 pounds, with free shipping.

I was searching for prices on these two models, and noticed these because they were similar to prices available in the US, which is a little unusual.

I've read good reviews of both of these models from cops, who praised them as very bright, very simple to use torches at reasonable prices.

Ha, doubt it. 47 actually sent a batch of fenix to myth buster on their request. One of the two guys (I think it was adam) eventually got back to him and was pretty rude about how he thinks of 123a based lights.
