The Golfer is king for me.  I have one in my EDC rotation and a backup stashed away.

But of the other 84's, the Sportsman would be my go-to.  I have one stashed in my day pack, another in my camping ditty bag, and another stashed in my sail bag. They only weigh 1.83oz,so I can't think of an excuse not to have a sharp spare knife around.

I also enjoy my 84mm Recruit and Cadet.  I find the 84mm a sweet spot for me.  I am still loving my Salesman but the others sure see pocket item since they are such great SAKs.

Waiter and Walker are the ones for me.

I would love to have a Walker with corkscrew a.k.a. Waiter with saw.

Like this Wenger Basic 66? A Classic 66 without T&T.

This is a late production one with Vic saw tooth pattern. I prefer the Wenger combo tool.

Thanks Sawl. And I like that Wenger of yours. Much prefer the old flat scales to the Evos.

I have a Tinker small, but have always had my eye on a Tourist - because I prefer the Spartan over the Tinker.

That said, I did EDC a Recruit for a short while before I gave it away to a friend.  I chose it because I couldn't commit one way or the other, to the Tinker small or the Tourist.   I had been EDCing a Soldier already so the jump was easy.   I really... really... liked the small blade - so that's a "must-have" for me on an 81mm.

Ultimately, I would pick the Tourist as my favorite 84mm, even though I don't actually have one.

Have had all three, and it's really hard to choose. Tourist with no lanyard ring is my choice, since I don't think either the Tourist Small or Sportsman have been offered without one.

My ultimate 84mm is the Alox Recruit, aka. Cadet II. Unfortunately, rather rare. Saw one in a huge lot, and that's it. But, given the Cadet now has a cut stainless file, it can cut metal, so I may just get a Cadet instead.

My favorite and most used 84 would be the Walker.
