When will my indecisions end?
on: October 19, 2009, 04:15:02 AM
Well I went off on a Swiss kick, before that I thought the Benchmade 940 would be "the last knife I will ever get", a then I pick an old Schrade barlow and a Buck 303 cadet. If that was not bad enough, I end up trading some stuff to EODTech for a Emerson A-100 and a Mini A-100. What is going on with me, I can't stick with anything and I am just obsessed and cannot stay in place and be content for a while. Is this disease incurable? I know if I went and bought something like a Sebenza it would not be my last purchase, there is no final nail in the coffin I think.

On a side note, the A-100 and the mini are AWESOME!! These are my first Emerson's and I was hesitant about the chisel grinds on the blades, at first I was kind of disappointed but the more I use them the more impressed I am. The A-100 eats up cardboard like it's nothing and the chisel grind works beautifully. Heck the edge got a little dull and I stropped it on a box and it came back shaving sharp like it was nothing, quite amazing. I also like how I can disassemble the knife with just a phillips and a flat screwdriver. They are low maintenance, hard use knives that just beg for more.  Only thing I don't like is that they have a black blade and not a satin blade, it kinda screams "mall ninja" or "Tactical" but I will get over it, it's cutting performance outweighs the cons.

BTW EOD, the package goes out tomorrow, you rock!

Frankly I suspect so.  Also I think almost everyone here has it.

We invented it, and prefer to think of it as English being in a constant state of evolution

If it is I haven't found it yet. I'm sure most of us on this site suffer from it in one form or another. I'm sure that for a "regular" person, ANY decent quality multi-tool would cover their needs. They'd buy it and be done with it. But not us, we have to over analyze everything. "What if *that* happens and I'm not carrying *this* tool? What should I do? Should I get a new tool?  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

It drives my wife crazy. And I'll admit it, it sometimes drives me crazy too.

Don't worry DTH, it can really bug me as well.  Especially when I am trying to make sure I have everything with as little duplication as possible but by still carrying my favourite items.  :ahhh
