First off, Chrissy, I am sorry for the way they treated you.  That unfortunately happens not just on forums, but with many cliques or groups that cater to specific things.  Folks have a certain way of doing things, and many don't like it when new people "rock the boat."  I'm not making excuses for them mind you- I personally feel that was inexcusable, but then that's why I run my forum(s) differently.  I was lucky enough to learn forum etiquette on a good forum years ago- Knifeforums.com may have it's issues, but overall, it is one of the best forums out there, and I have always tried to inspire others to live up to the standard they set well over a decade ago.

These guys?  Well, I think every forum caters to a type of person that fits their profile.  That forum works well for the guys that are on it, and that's great for them.  I imagine there are guys there that think it's the best forum on the 'net, and that's great that they have found a place that they are comfortable with.  I will admit that they have good taste in forum software!  :D

We have long been scrutinized by other forum owners (I won't say who) as the resting place for people who have been banned on other forums.  In fact, I believe in the not too distant past we had a thread about who had been banned and from where.  It seems we've just about all been banned from somewhere, so I guess that you are now officially one of us!  :D

Oh, and FYI, administrators can see what site(s) have linked folks in to their site, and the IP address of every member is visible to Admins on every post, so please, if you feel the need to flame that site (and I don't feel that's appropriate btw, but being a group of banned degenerates I can't imagine you are going to listen to me!  :P) please visit another site between us and them as I really don't want the overworked mods we currently have to have to deal with any retaliations....

If a war starts, I'm there and I intend to be the one standing at the end, but I'd rather not fight one needlessly!  :D

Plus I'll bet their pins and needles are sharper than my SAKs and multis!

Dang Nu, I think they found out you were a girl & got a little uncomfortable with a lady in their midst. I'm pretty sure that flight (fairy wings) guy has a little too much sugar in his tank & felt threatened by your estrogen content. I'd almost bet he falls into the "don't ask, don't tell" category.

Heres what the last page says:

Fight and Flight

So you decided to check back after all, and under a different name, Nuphoria/Rifleman?  BTW, I WAS being nice.  The comment on my cereal was an attempt to bring some levity to the comment.  Our disclosure rules are in place so we don't have people playing "Secret Squirrel" and claiming that they are what they are not, and also to keep the big industry types out so they don't steal our designs, which has happened before.  We do let some of the big guys play, but they play nice, and have some good stuff to teach.  I was trying to help you by suggesting you go look in the other categories and find the plethora of tutorials, but you're just too arrogant or stupid to do it.  I wasn't even the first to tell you that you were being a dumbsmurf.  Brundlefly gave you the friendly warning before I came in with the light slap on the back of the head and a verbal counseling session (as we called them in the Army).  Most of the people here are either current or former military and/or law enforcement, and therefore do not tolerate stupid smurf.  Anyway, I'm not even going to re-argue my points again because it doesn't matter.  You're a tool, and we don't want your ilk around here.  Now go get back on Facebook and play Farmville so you can get back to some serious "sowing".

LOL... that's true, what us secret squirrels invading all their sowing boxes it must be scary  :D

Anyway, I think we have probably had enough amusement from this lot and as Def says, a flame war can be a pain. We really don't want a load of nonsense flying back and forth wasting our bandwidth when we should be looking at shiny things *rubbing thighs*. I certainly don't want to be the pied piper of plonkers  ::)

They have made their point very clearly by the posts you have read, the oh so hilarious rewriting of my profile (which I left pretty much empty), banning me, and then accusing me of coming back pretending to be someone else! We can all draw our own assumptions as to what kind of folks like to behave that way, and leave them to it

FWIW I have nothing but the utmost respect for most service man and women, having several amongst my family and friends. What I have no respect for is idiots - I don't suffer fools. So shoot me!

Normal service will now resume ;)

Most of the people here are either current or former military and/or law enforcement, and therefore do not tolerate stupid Colorful Enunciation.

You know this is interesting. It seems any forum dominated by this type are so ass tight they can't even take a joke. Happened on other cop related forums too, a new member makes a joke or disagree with one of them and everybody breaks out the torch and pitchfork. Maybe they are just so used to other people being submissive to their authoritay.

Which makes me think they have nothing to do with law enforcement as most of us that actually are are too busy taking the piss out of ourselves.

Most wannabes take offence...those of us that "walk the walk" don't mind....imagine if we really WERE that uptight.....
