Was your eyelid glued down or just couldn't see?  If glued down eyelid, might be allergies or bacterial conjunctivitis.

If the eye couldn't see:

1. I'd worry about retinal detachment.  That's a medical emergency
2.  Transient ischemic attack (like a mini stroke)--also an emergency
3.  Intraocular hemorrhage
4.  Tumor
5.  No good things on this list.

You need to be seen pronto.

  • I'm not all bad, I'm just drawn that way.
Let's hope he has been a good boy and has gone to get checked out  ???

The lovely Hedgekid works for the RNIB and I can't stress enough how important is it to act immediately on ANY eye sight problems which arise even if you think they might be trivial.

Royal National Institute for the Blind

Ah ha!  I see.  ;)

If it were a retinal detachment, he'd have been admitted to have it reattached (oil or air) and would be currently positioned to keep things in place.  We wouldn't hear from him for a few days.

Hi guys thanks for the concern and thoughts

Well it turns out it must have been some kinda insect sting and being thick skinned I never felt it at the time,a wasp seems the likely candidate he must have tried sleeping on my pillow poor sod my snoring must have annoyed him :D anyway I'm on a course of Antibiotics  and my sight has returned though a little blurred.

I'm to report back to my own doctor next week,I'm not convinced myself it's a sting but we'll see

And yesterday my puter seemed it wanted to join in too by freezing up on and off several times I had to unplug remove the battery and restart windows :ahhh  I do have security so no viruses I'll try a few disc cleans today and clear some history and such.

I'll keep you posted on the eye guys, thanks again all
