My camo Surge
on: November 08, 2009, 07:53:35 PM
Hey everyone.  I thought I would pause and show off my current Surge setup.  One thing to note is the "S" carabiner I use to hook onto my belt loops.  I've rammed almost everything I can into the innovative Surge holster.  All I'm waiting for is the bit extender.

A special shout out to the manufacturer of my AAA LED flashlight:  ARC.  http://www.arcflashlight.com/arc-aaa.shtml.  You are looking at the deluxe model.  The amount of light it outs out is amazing.  And a single AAA will last about 5 hours before fading to 50% output.  THEN, it will last another 3 hours or so until draining.  Really great technology.

Oh, and on the flashlight, you are looking at my first attempt at making a paracord lanyard.  Not bad for a first try.

Question:  I'm using Imageshack to host my pics.  But they expire.  How do I permanently get a pic to show on the page?  Is there a better service out there?

Nice

The matching paracord is a great touch.
Never underestimate the power of the fleece

I use photobucket, I don't think they expire.  Be careful with the S-Biner.  They have a nasty habit of coming loose.

Nice pics  :multi:

I use photobucket too, and even pay the few $s per month for the extra capacity. It's been a good service so far :tu:

I probably don't use it half as much as I should really, it seems to do much more than hosting.

Here's my gallery if anyone's interested - quite a few on there now :)

That collection is hard core.  Do you sell them?  Or are you just an aficionado?

Thanks for the photobucket recommendation~!

It says "Niteize S-Biner" on the side.  EBAY.  set of three different sizes:

That begs the philosophical question: If you don't have any limits, is that inherently a limit?  :-D

I got a black pocket clip and lanyard ring with my Cabela's XTi (the camo one). It's more of a DLC than BO finish on mine.

I do remember the black clips being sold on ebay some time ago, so I guess they are about if you look!

EDIT: Here you are: http://www.eleatherman.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_20&products_id=76

Ah!  it's the standard Leatherman clip.  The one that comes with a lanyard ring as well.

Oh, you are asking about the finish!  I'm new to this stuff.  That's why I came here!  The ORACLE!!!

It looks like some kind of polished spring steel.  I wish it had a black oxide coating.  That would look a lot better.
