new owner of a LM Micra
on: November 22, 2009, 06:06:51 AM
Hi gang:  well,, in addition to my other LM's i got this fall,, i won on an online auction, a LM Micra. has a laser advertisement on one side, but that's OK, it still says Leatherman on the other ! . when I got it. it was in good shape. there was some rust on some of the tools. I thought about steel wool, but first I'd use some gun cleaner.. ya know what it worked!!.

took off all the rust, I do have a little pitting going on but it's minor. and in a small area. I lubed it up w/gun oil. worked the tools back and forth a few times and wiped it off.. looks like I've been carrying it for  years.. just enouph "character" to take the newness off...

I love my Micra. It's a great pocket or keychain MT. The scissors are awesome!

Mircas are great tools i think of them as a must have for any MultiTooler. Here is a cool thread on modding Mircas i found a while back. http://edcforums.com/index.php?topic=28457.0

Good deal mate  :tu:

I tend to carry mine on my keys a lot, very handy to have around. Mine is modded by removing half the tweezers and making a pointy sharp thing instead. I found the tweezers to be fairly useless and carry a pair of Uncle Bills with me.

The PST and Micra are Leatherman 101, every Leatherman collector should have at least one of each.

If not (many) more!  :)

I'm thinking of replacing my Gerber Solstice on the keyring with a Micra - the bulk is starting to annoy me.
