I just wanted to share and give a warm greeting to my fellow face stuffers and give thanks for all we have!

The wife is cooking a 16lb turkey in the oven. I am cooking a 10lb prime rib in my barrel smoker and a small ham in my barbeque for good measure.

I'm cookin a umpteen pound country ham, a cajun smoked turkey breast, and cherry cheesecake. Makes you wanna slap yo momma hmm?

Wife even bought me a new Thanksgiving plate. After the Boy Scouts and the military she knows i like compartment plates.

Happy thanksgiving everyone.  I'm working today and tomorrow (my punishment for getting hurt, I reckon).  But I'm thankful that I can work, have a very understanding family, a wonderful partner, and a great group of people I consider friends here on MT.O.  Have a great day everyone!

Oh man I feel like my belly is going to explode! :P Gawd I ate a ton. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rice, corn, homemade biscuits, pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie, and one more slice of pumpkin pie. Ugh!

What I need now is a comfy couch and a remote control. :)

omg I'm soooo full! gluttony is right Bob! "Father forgive my big mouth!"

we had brined turkey (salt, veggie broth, brown sugar, honey, molasses, soy sauce and whole pepper corns brined for 12+ hours)
sage stuffing, corn bread stuffing, candied yams, cranberry sauce and dip (for non gravy luvrs), several potato dishes, corn, broccoli, lima  beans, rhodes buns!

pumpkin pies and pineapple cake (all home made) :ahhh :D

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving everything went well at our house. We had a smaller gathering this year my five girls and their spouses and my ten grand kids. Had a great day enjoying the family. Is it just me the older i get the more i enjoy these holidays.
