Get Smart - Champion or Swisschamp?

I just saw the Get Smart movie on HBO, and i wanna know what that vic was that they gave him.  by the size, it's either a Swisschamp or a Champion, but i can't tell, and it's driving me nuts.

It was a mock up- no real SAKs have a crossbow or flame thrower... unfortunately!

As far as the prop they handed him, I'd guess the SwissChamp since the Champion has been discontinued since the 80's.  No one spends lots of money on a sponsorship deal to promote something they stopped making long ago!

THe Champion, like most other SAK's, has had some evolutions.

Prior to the Swiss Champ (U.S. debut 1987), it was the big one (I EDC one of those, and have 2 more at home in USA, one NIB.  I have an 1884-1984 commemorative I bought here in ROK).  When the SC came out, it was the same as the SC minus the pen, micro screwdriver, and no pliers.   It was dropped several years later, around or by 1990 I think. 


A few years ago, it was brought back with the Plus scales, and they put the hook on it.  What you saw on Amazon was the Champion Plus.

Champion, no, Champion Plus, maybe.  You forgot that they reissued the knife some time back.

From the looks of it, though, I'd actually guess one of the CyberTool models, most likely a CT34.  It'd be easy to view the pliers as a cross bow and the bit extender as the dart shooter.

I believe I read they had actually produced a prop for him to use, so no, it was not any current model of Swiss Army Knife. =P
