Paratool Love
on: December 06, 2009, 11:42:17 PM
This week i'm putting aside my old style Wave and going with the Paratool + Farmer combo. I do like SOGs quality feel of the Paratool and kudos for building a worthwhile sheath to go with it.

Anyone else carry their Paratool? I'll add pics too of it doing some real work this week.

I carry one from time to time, but the opening (and in particular the closing) mechanism bugs me.

Too fiddly.
I used to come here a lot.

I carried mine for ages and really like it for the most part. I prefer a locking tool but that is sometimes not a good option so this is the one for me.

The comfy handles make it worth having I reckon  :tu:

Too fiddly indeed. :-\

I do like the blade/tool selection on it though. :)

Hope you enjoy carrying yours.  I bought one and had it for a couple of days but found it to
dangerous for me.  Too fiddly and opening it one time it flew out of my hand with the blade
partially deployed and crashed to the floor.  :o  Exchanged it for a Pocket Powerplier.  They
are neat to play with though.  :)

I carry one once in awhile. It seems overly complicated to operate compared to most MTs I use so see limited use. Although it does have a high fiddle factor to it.   :D
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

I really like the design and had one on top of my wishlist (after I pulled the trigger on a Spyderench), but this thread makes me think of getting an other SOG tool instead...

You want to really love a Paratool?  You need one of these then!  :D

I'm hoping to get a limited run of them done at some point.

Everyone should have a Paratool. I don't EDC it anymore but it's one of the tools that I will never part with.

So i carried it all last week. Gotta say it's a great tool...but it will never replace a wave. I agree it's a gotta have tool but the evolution of one handed opening multis is leaving it in the jurassic age. Like a PST it has its place.
