Over the years I have gifted a bunch of farmers , mostly from brass liner days . Two were given to newly graduated Cops , four to apprentices and helpers , one to a guy I contracted for . In recent years I gave away mostly Wenger SI's and Eco Huntsmen ,not to mention an Electrician Plus and OHT or two .
I wonder how many are in service/serviceable today .
One of the apprentices is now an electrical engineer , another is a very high powered millwright .
As far as the tools go , I only know of one that was abused , a Farmer with a broken master blade , and the awl was used for cooking hash .
I hope the tools and owners are still usefull .

PS: one thing I'm kicking my ass over is First Mates , there were a bunch of them at a Toronto Surplus store back in the eighties , prices were marked way down . Knowing what i do know now I would have loaded up on vintage Alox in the Seventies and early eighties !
