Heinnie Haynes UK
on: January 12, 2010, 01:29:33 PM
After peer pressure from DaveK, Viking and other Maxpedition EDC Organiser owners I took the [the very small] leap and ordered one from Heinnie in the UK.
I actually ordered online late on Sunday night. I received email updates throughout the process the last one at 11:10 on Monday saying my order had been despatched. My new Organiser arrived today [Tuesday]  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Deilvery is free within the UK inc. N. Ireland for standard orders. I recently ordered a Skeletool CX from Amazon UK with free delivery and it took 6 days to come   Heinnie was first class via Royal Mail whereas Amazon was second class but such a huge difference ??

Anyhoo, I would recommend Heinnie as the service was excellent and delivery amazingly quick :D They are no more expensive than other online retailers and with free delivery I think Heinnie has the edge.

I am pretty sure I will be buying from Heinnie again

Now off to fill my organiser with shiny things :D

I had to check that wasn't my own post

It's harder to 'hide' when it comes through the post. That's why I would pay a few pound more from a bricks and mortar shop, then I can say 'that old thing, I've had it for ages  ;)'

I'm sure they are the same with shoes and stuff. There's probably a shoe.org site for them  Please excuse the blatant sterotyping;  :twak: I did it for you :D

I ordered a maxpedition EDC organiser from them, they sent me a belt pouch  :twak: :twak: :ahhh

Their customer service was good when I phoned them, and they got my replacement out quickly.  Hopefully they gave the moron in picking a good slap too  :twak:

My only gripe with Heinnie's is their prices, their service I have found to be top notch.

I called them the other day to order the Fenix torch and the guy knew who I was :D

I should have organised a commission for all these EDC Organisers though  :P

I understand that they have closed their shop and are doing everything via the internet and phone atm, so I did get the impression that they were very busy - maybe that's how they screwed up your order. I think it's pretty rare for them to cock it up.
I used to come here a lot.

TBH I can't think I've ever heard of it happening before.

It's a shame that you were the exception though Magnus. :-\

Never ever had a problem with them.  But even the best can make mistakes.  What "makes" a shop is how they deal with it and it seems they corrected the mistake quickly.  Good show.
I'm back!!

They did have some left didn't they mate? 5 days would be very unusual - call them before they close!

I can't imagine they stock that many, and the orders from just here must have made a serious dent in their stocks!

I feel that way sometimes with Amazon; do I want it quick and pay £5 more or wait up to a week for free delivery?

Still worth getting in touch with HH as soon as you can.  That way they can chase the Post Office from their end.  It could well just be that the PO are still having issues with the weather.

You've no need to worry though John, I'm sure they will sort it out for you, but I don't suppose there's much they can do about the inconvenience.

Any bother tell them you know me :D

That really sucks John, I'd be willing to bet it's the post office to blame though.
