Trekker Space Pen Review
on: July 03, 2007, 02:07:57 AM
Here is the start of the unofficial trekker space pen review.

Products official website:
What's New - Trekker
Trekker Product Page

Purchased from: Ebay seller

Price Paid: $25.00 (including priority mail shipping)

Beginning date of field testing: July 02, 2007

First thoughts: A bit longer then I thought it maybe. Better built then I thought. Does not feel cheap or lightly built.

Type of review: This will be a on going review that will include daily use and field testing. I will post some comparison photos, actions photos (yeah, I know it's just a pen, lol) and a few others I have in mind.

Please post any questions you may have about the trekker space pen and I will incorporate the answers into my review.

Here is how the pen come packaged.
Getting ready to rip it open.

Here is what is says on the front of the package.

The back of the package for your reading pleasure. :)

Here is it just after it has been opened.

Will put the pen to use for the next day or two and see what questions everyone may have.
Over the 4th of July I will post some more photos and write a bit more of a review.

Dumb question here maybe, but what keeps the cap from falling off?

Not sure how to explain the cap, but there seems to be a brass ring inside the cap that the pen snaps into.
It is not just a pressure fit type cap like you would have on some cheap bic pen.

Given that the cap has the carrying ring attached to it, I assume the fit must be very secure. Otherwise you could lose the whole pen and only be left with the cap.

Good review there mate, It made me think of my own fisher pen :)

I,ve got one of the older style bullet type pens (you know the ones the refused to stay in your pockets ::)) and after 14 years of occational use it still works :)

Years ago there was a advert for ural motorcycles which kind of sums up my approch to life ;D

ann way it made me laugh so here it is...
