Anyone carry their riveted PST's?

When I started on here the riveted PST seemed to be really rare and was the holy grail for quite a few members.  After a few months I got swept away with the riveted hype and went on a mission to find one, me getting one not that much later.  Although I have a much more modern PST, I still like to carry this one from time to time (today included).  I just like the way it feels and I get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that it is doing what it was designed to do all these years later (and very well may I add) and hasn't been lobbed in a drawer to be forgotten.

So, any of you other riveted PST owners carry yours?

Nope. I just take mine out every now and then and look it over. I carry an old 80's model pst but not the riveted one. On a side note i do carry my sideclip

Nah, it doesn't have a pocket clip.

Rarely, but I have on occasion. It's nothing to do with rarity or value, more that I have a bit of a thing for the later "sabre" bladed ones. They are uber cool and although technically more likely to break than the latest models, I figure I have plenty, so what the hell.

The screwed tools are easier to break down for cleaning and maintenance, although that's really more a bonus than a deciding factor.

In general though, I prefer a pocket-clipped tool to a PST anyway

Sorry to so I don't carry mine but not for lack of want I got mine off Ebay from a state seizure seller and you can tell they don't know what they are talking about most of the time plus the listing was misspelled But 1 of the sides that lock the tools in was broken off So the file side doesn't lock into place at all So for now it is little more than a placeholder for a good riveted PST Maybe when I get a good 1 I will carry it some

I'm sure it will be fine so long as your house is humidity controlled, you wear cotton gloves and only open the tools very slowly

No.  While the PST has more tools, I prefer the locking pliers on my Crunch.

They are lookers alright. The large font riveted PSTs sure has eye appeal.

Ben you`d love this one its a real well used tool. It aint been pampered. I got alot of MTs that look like they were carried alot and used little if at all. But not this one and thats why I bought it.

That's kind of inevitable when you trawl the internet looking for these things like we do David. Some of my "favourite" tools (not just PSTs) look like they've been in fires!

My riveted one actually has what looks like a melted section and a crack in the handle.    Still solid though.

Thats so true. I got one awhile back that someone had been welding with and it was a mess. It took awhile to clean and looks better but I reckon it wont win any beauty contest. Although it is still a good user.
