Nice one clown!

Agree.

Atlantic Salt?

Love the DLC.

no  :pok:  that from Clown is a Sat I with TiNi coating (not DLC) and the one from Spartan i the Pacific, though he also got an Atlantic not long ago IIRC  :salute:

Mine today is also a Salt but a rare and different one...

Thanks Harley!  TP, I believe it's a Salt 2.  You said Salt 1 and I actually had to go back and check. Lol.  I do also have a Salt 1 but it's yellow and fully serrated  :D

BTW that Jumpmaster is bad ass.  :tu:

true, Salt 2! I am still used to the older ones  :D the tree screw clip setup is the giveaway  :salute:
yeah the JM is big, sharp and scary and I rarely carry it but yesterday I brought it with me to the hospital because it is so flat and sleek that it leaves no print on clothing, :tu:
clipped knives in the pocket are easier to see and they grab more attention than this pancaked monster  :ahhh

today is the usual Salt folder, a Tasman in particular

Guys help! Im trying to switch the clip to the other side since Im a lefty but the screw on my Manix 2 Lightweight just keeps turning around. I dont have a needle nose pliers small enough to hold the head and I dont have a clamp. I was also told the screw is loctited.

What to do?

well an0n I have never removed a wire clip from a Spyderco but this thread might give you some ideas?

https://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtopic.php?t=62290

I guess it's a matter of using a proper size quality Torx bit, applying direct pressure at the right angle, and maybe break the loctite with heat (althoug IIRC it's blue loctite, easy to break with tools and a bit of force)

the wire clips seem to be T-8 or T-9 size depending on model  :salute:

That's an option, I guess. It's just mildly annoying that a simple wire clip is more cumbersome to unclip than the more complicated looking clips of Spydies.

Not cool, Sal and Erick  :twak:

yes it is complicated.
One thing I love about my Salts is that you can swap the clip just using a coin, a flathead driver or a spoon   :like:

the new Salt 2 and all new models of Salts from now on will have the 3-screw clip construction which I honestly don't like as much

have you not been able to change its position? The threads I linked provided good instructions IMO, or is it that you don't want to risk over torquing or damaging the screw?

In any case I personally prefer the Pacific to the Manix but for many different and personal reasons,  :tu:
both are excellent knives from Spyderco  8)

Somehow Im hesitant to scratch the head as im still thinking whether to sell this Manix. Frankly apeaking, it doesnt fit my hand well.

The Native tho is like something built for my hand. Or Delica or Endura.

Might have to change the name of this thread to Show is your Salts.

Lunch sorted. Pacific Salt SE is really good at cutting food with its SE blade.
