Here's the thing about the Breacher Car..
It is cheap. $17.50 US.
Right out of the box you get a project to fiddle with... put scales on it... or wrap the handle as I did.. or start sharpening it... or reshaping it.. or make a sheath for it.. etc. So it has a high fun factor and a high possibilities factor.
But even if all you did was wrap the handles and put a better edge on it, it is still an awfully nice bit of kit. You can absolutely beat on it and not worry. And it feels like it wants to be beaten on. It is heavy.
Now, if you chose to make it into a bruiser of a knife, you essentially have a nice thick heat treated high carbon steel blank with the holes drilled and everything.
Mine will get an edge and a sheath (anyone here work that Kydex magic?) and that's it. I want something that I don't mind using to.. say... pry studs off a concrete block wall, or scrape dried paint off a metal bucket.
