Found it, its called a Gol... What!
Short answer is: not that I can think of. It has in the case of other 91mm SAKs though. This page shows the two that spring to mind Spartan/Standard and Traveller/Climber, note that the Mountaineer is shown on the same page and isn't listed as having a 'no keyring' option. That doesn't mean it never happened though (I'm guessing you have one ) but I don't think it'll have an alternative name, I'd be interested to know if anyone else knows better. Don't ask me to explain Vic's naming logic though, there isn't any. http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-browse_image.php?galleryId=46&sort_mode=imageId_asc&imageId=859&scalesize=0

I was afraid maybe I had advertised it wrong...The knife w/o the keyring is a newer knife, from the early 90s at the earliest. For a model of this vintage, the keyring loop part of the backspring of the openers. So, if it didn't have one, either:a. Vic found an older backspring for the opener layer, used that, and didn't put the opener loop on the spacer for the small bladeorb. The previous owner ground off the keyring loop because it annoyed them. I would say (b) is much more likely.
