I don't really do mods, just repairs and restorations really.

I do have this modded Charge done by fellow member Gav. In his own words:

Quote
the handle scales are from a cabelas camo charge tti,the four hex screws are from a standard tti, silver in colour of course, and the rest of it,blades, saw, file scissors, carriage or body of the tool, drivers etc, etc, are from a 25th silver charge, all mirror polished

It is rather lovely :)
I used to come here a lot.

The polished pliers and blades from the 25th Ann model are quite striking. :) Wasn't there someone here (maybe Gav?) who put them in a Charge with black scales as well?

This is not exactly a mod as is a Multi built from ground up and its far form finished but i just wanted to give you a little sneak peak on what im doing at the moment:

The Multitool uses a "Knipex Mini Plier"-head and aluminium handles with integrated pocketclip. A t-Shank holder and a knive will be future additions.
Overall lenght is 6,5cm in closed position and it will weight about 70g (with t-shank holder and OHO-Knive).

They are made from a U-Profile. The pocketclip is just bent over. Pretty easy ;)

And here comes the innovative part: The tiniest t-shank holder i could think of.

Here the whole thing with Blade. The Blade is the reason for the oddly formed handles.

Last picture for now:

Interesting concept you've got going there :)

Question: on the t-shank holder, what provides the tension to hold the t-shank in place?

As ryan pointed out your hand does. And it works! I made a prototype of the holder of the same aluminium u-profile i used for the small multi i am currently making.

i dont think a lock is needed on the t-shank holder.
My modded skeletool bitholder holds t-shank blades without any locking mechanism (as i borke the spring on the holder moths ago) just by hand pressure and it works well.
The holder on this tool is essentially the same and works well, too.
