Very nice looking knife, but too close to the SOSAK 2009 KOTY to be considered for 2010.

I think there currently is only a couple of knives for SOSAK 2010 that really rock for KOTY, a Dual Pro type model because it new, or My choice is a 2010 Damascus Pioneer with SOSAK on the engraving panel, and maybe something other than Black scales... like dark Purple, Orange, or even Red.  I hope VSAKCS (2011) or SOSAK gets a similar KOTY.  Unfortunately the cost of these might make this impractical... and we're all so practical.  :D

What about a OH Centurion with yellow dual density scales?  >:D

Custom colors are possible but expensive, and so are usually written off almost immediately.

I was thinking the same thing...

Note the lack of a Patagonia logo on the handles!  I don't know whether Wenger is planning on offering these or not, but I do know that they had no intention of producing them like this at the show.  If they don't go out as regular models, I may be able to special order a bunch if there's enough interest.

Sweet! 8) I've liked the look of the yellow/black from the moment I saw it. :tu:

That is sweet.  I love the blade!  Why can't Vic put that blade on their 111mms?

Also, @Def
What do you do that Wenger showers you with gifts?

Well, whatever we call it, the idea was if Wenger wasn't going to produce it, I'd like to get at least a limited run done for Multitool.org and SOSAK members.  This is just too sweet not to share!

I am having a moment of genius!!!!
The trick is having  Wenger make a "presentation box" to hold them!!
My moment of brilliance:

2 yellow RangerGrip knives-
-one kinfe with SOSAK(logo) 2010
-second knife with MULTITOOL.ORG(logo)2010

Am I brilliant or am I brilliant??

I also run the world's largest SAK collector and enthusiast organization, help out the official Victorinox Collector's Association, write more SAK related articles than anyone else on the planet, promote SAKs and general knife use almost everywhere, and am probably (indirectly at least) responsible for more SAK sales than any employee of Victorinox or Wenger.  Heck if it wasn't for Multitool.org and SOSAK, Chako would probably be blowing all his money on PEZ dispensers or porcelain dolls!

GRANT;

Pass the word to the President of Wenger that interest in the Yellow 178, may possibly overshadow the Mike Horn Ranger!!  Wish Andy Tiedye was here to confirm my suspicions!! :sak:

The word has been passed, and as you can imagine, production, either limited, full or none, will depend on how much interest we can create in it!  I'll be seeing how many potential sales we can develop on SOSAKOnline this month when I do a full write up on it, and we'll go from there.

FYI, I just got my  WPER Rangergrip from the our Demi-God FELINEVET TIM(Thanks Tim :salute: ) Let me tell you something guys, Not only is she a beauty, as aoll SAKs.  BUT!  This SAK definately has that certain"something-something"about it that an SAK owner/user cannot help but be drawn to it. What that "something-something" is, I can't put my finger on!!  I can see this as KOTY2010 at MT.O & SOSAK!!! :tu:

Well I know that we have at least two fans out there of the yellow New Ranger!  Good to have you on my side Bryan- together I'm sure we can convince Wenger to crank out a bunch of these for us!
