on: July 04, 2007, 04:02:30 AM
There's a group buy going on at edcforums, looks like a great bag for the low price.  Anyone own one?

I'm not a member at edcforums.com so I can't see what's going on... care to share some of the details?

copy/pasted from the thread:

This is my favorite small EDC bags. The main compartment is about 8 inches across being the perfect size to fit a few smaller pouches such as a first aid kit or other gear (like a firearm or asp) along with a spare tshirt and the checkbook. The outside pockets keep all my other little stuff organized, such as an ID, knife, backup mag, lighter, etc.

From left to right the bag is 12 inches long, about 7 inches high with and 5 inches from front to back. Of those dimensions the main pocket is about 8.5 inches long, 7 inches high, and 3.5 inches deep.  The left and right pockets don't have any organizers but the front pocket has a divider and two small business card size holders as well. The main pocket has a mesh divider on the back that does well to keep a couple IDs, small notebook, and a few pens from getting lost in the bottom of the bag.

Here are the details and pricing:
~Stock bag: $14
~Upgraded zipper pull bags (paracord with glow-pulls) are $19

S~hipping, one bag - $7
~Shipping, two or more bags - $9
~Shipping, International - at cost (please PM me)

4 Bag Special: 4 bags (any color) with upgraded pulls on all of them, and shipping anywhere in the US for $75 cash PayPal (or $77 CC PayPal).

The guys' email address is in those pics, although it might be easier to join up on edcforums.com and post there if you want one (or more) ;D

I'd take one... if you were taking one, that would be two.  If we got a couple other folks interested and you (or another volunteer stepped forward) we could maybe take advantage of the 4 pack?

Anyone else game?

Some quick calculations..:

One bag w/upgraded pulls shipped: $26

One bag w/upgraded pulls discounted with purchase of 4:  $18.75

So you save $7.25 per bag, but then I'd need about $4 to ship it out again...so you'd save $3.25, but you'd have to wait another week or so after I receive them.  Then there's Canada... ;)

True- but it would benefit some other members.  Let's see if anyone else is interested enough to make it worthwhile...

Did anyone get one of these?  I'm curious about the quality.
