How does Bear Grylls stay clean shaven?

My wife is a fan of this show and tonight she came into the garage where I was tinkering pretty pissed.

She finally has convinced herself the show is fake. Why ... "His face is always smooth. He must pack in more then a
water bottle, knife and flint."

She was so upset. It was like she found out Santa does not exist.

Simply not true and if it was he often has a razor sharp knife with him, lol... :)

I thought maybe there was something to this when I first read it, but after a couple minutes on google I found images of his face not clean shaven.

I think a lot of it is that he's only out for a couple days at a time.  His facial hair probably just doesn't grow very fast.
If you took all the intestines out of your body and stretched them end to end... you would die.

I have a similar problem.  I can go two or three days without any appreciable stubble, so it's entirely possible that's the case.

I have some friends like that.  They shave at nine, have the 12 o'clock shadow and are sporting a full beard by suppertime!

I'm glad I don't have that problem- I hate shaving so I'd look like Osama half the time! :D

I'm with you Def.  I shave every other day.  Starting in the fall, I usually stop shaving and grow a beard.  I hate shaving...

I have wonderful sensitive skin.  It's such a blessing that I can't use certain laundry detergents, and when I shave I look like a burn victim for a couple of hours afterwards.  That's the main reason I don't like doing it.
