A pair of Digex advertizing Micras in hard case presentation box with leather sleeve just arrived. They are both dated to 99.

Just in case you were wondering…

It took me ages to get hold of one of those sleeves, as they were replaced by "leatherette" (vinyl) sheaths very early on. The suede ones are 10x as nice, but virtually impossible to find now, so that's a good score just for that fact Chako.

I wonder if the boxes were made by whoever did the etching for Digex or by Leatherman themselves. I suspect the former, but they look very nice none the less!
I used to come here a lot.

I'd love to have a sleeve like that. I can't bring myself to get one of the plastic ones available today.

That one will not fit the Squirt! Neither will it fit the Micras with the polycarbonate or anodised covers. It will only fit the stainless steel Micras :)

Not agree with you.I use leather sleeve with my Squirt P4.

There are two different sizes.

The one you linked to is for the Stainless Micra only (it even says so).

The other size will fit the covered Micras and Squirts. I used to sell both sizes :)

You must have really forced that in there - I predict it falling apart quite soon.

I have one of those suede sheaths for my micra ( which just happens to be in my pocket  :D ) . It came in a metal tin and is dated 1002 .

I realize replying 2 years later is ridiculous, but I'm going with a longshot.

To the person that stumbled across those Digex Micras, do you know where they ended up? I just lost mine last month after 12 years of service. It was my constant keys companion and I feel lost. :)

While it can't be replaced, If there's anyway to acquire a true Digex branded replacement... at least that would be better than whimpering everytime I reach for it and find nothing.

I was one of the old Digex crew, and it was the best professional time of my life. Little tools like that made for fun hacking. :)
