Hi everyone- today's crash was brought on by a network issue in the server facility our server is housed in, and continued after the network issue was fixed for reasons I don't yet know.  The bottom line is we are back, and hopefully there shouldn't be any more interruptions!

By the way- I try to update the Multitool.org Facebook group whenever we have problems like this, so if anyone is on FB and not part of the Multitool.org group, it's something you might want to think about!

I got so much work done while the site was down though  :ahhh

I wonder if 'other sites' notice a spike in their traffic when MTO goes down  :think:

I work for a company that houses websites. our network guys refuse to explain outages. it happens all the time and they always hide it or lie about it. the issue is usually an associate who brings a server, router, or firewall down.

FYI the hosting company will probably take the machine offline for a short period around 2am GMT to fix part of the server interface that is not working, they estimate no more than 30min downtime. It should be a quick reboot, check, reboot... but you never know... Esteban will be around to check everything is ok after the reboot.
