Thanks guys.

One good tip Zed. Don´t put to much glue on it, the first time i did this, i glued all my tools shut :D
I had only put some of the glue in the holes i drilled for the rivets, that should hold just fine.

I used to be a full time Machinist, and my uncle has a full shop so I have access to quite a bit of neat modding equipment.  I should be getting a mini mill here soon, so I can work in my own shop.  I am still perfecting the art of peening, so my rebuilds need some work, but scales are really fun to make and it doesn't really affect knife performance so I will stick to that for awhile.

Will the Ali tarnish?
Will you have to seal/varnish it?

Depends on what Aluminum you use.  Worst case with t4 and t6 is it will turn white-ish gray.  I would thing that anodizing would be real sweet, I'll have to check with my resources and find out if I have access to it.

well, i get it from our local knifemakers, we got a few around. I can give you some links:
http://www.nordisches-handwerk.de/shop/wbc.php?sid=234168edc27&tpl=produktliste.html&rid=69
http://www.schanz-shop.de/?go=artikel&ps=7&subid=24

I would try bladeforums for contact on your local knifemaker, i´m pretty sure you find someone who knows how to get that stuff.
Sorry bro, can´t help you any further with this.
