Fenix TK10 Giveaway
on: March 31, 2010, 01:03:39 PM
Hi Folks

I have a Fenix TK10 that is surplus to my requirements, so I am putting it up for a giveaway.

For anyone not familiar with this light, here are some details:

The light is powered by 2 CR123A batteries.

There are 2 output modes selected by tightening/loosening the bezel. 225/60 lumens.

Forward clickie switch.

Tactical grip ring. I will also supply black spacer ring for those not using the grip ring.

I got this light when it first came out, but never actually used it much. The light is in brand new condition, and I have only just put in its second set of batteries.

I would like this light to go to a user, someone who can make use of this light, but maybe does not have anything similar or as bright. I will give preference to emergency services, etc.

To get this light, post a little something about yourself and why this light would be useful to you.

I will pick the winner. Closing date is Monday 5th April. I will pay P&P and am happy to ship to Europe, USA and Canada.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

I'm an EMT and in April I'm starting a internship on an ambulance. I also do tons of theater, where it is dark. And I really want to win. Do I need more reasons?

Dammit, I'm not in the emergency service! I just like Fenix lights, does that count?  :D

Alright, I would really want it and would really use it for work. But I sale boats and really not safe lifes or anything heoric like that. So if someone with a more noble intention with this light, they should win it.

If not, I should win  :D

Great action Millhouse! Thanks  :tu:

I work corrections and my duty light is a crappy LedLenser HokusFokus. And I have 3 dogs, so when I walk them in the night I need a good thrower to see if there is anyone or anything around so I can react on time. And I LOVE EDC gadgets and lights ;)

Well I only have a very old CR123 single cell light (Nuwei QIII) so don't have any multiple CR123 lights and certainly nothing like as bright as that.  I only have one Fenix (an L0D) and would love to try one of it's bigger brothers.  I'm a keen camper and it would see use when out and about I think. :tu:

Thanks for the chance at the giveaway Millhouse.  :salute:

Great give away!  Thanks!

hmmmm...ok...

I need this flashlight because....I have two dogs and a small yard and with the time change it gets darker earlier by me.  So, I would need this flashlight for when I take them outside to go potty, this light will save me much stress by preventing me from continuing the frustrating and sad pattern of accidently stepping on every hidden piece of poo that I am CONVINCED my dogs strategically plant for me.   This flashlight would also save me money on my water bill because I would no longer have to spray off every pair of shoes I wear.

In the global picture, this light would help to propagate positive relations with me and my neighbors by preventing further incidences like the infamous, "Family Thanksgiving, 2009" when they had their families over and dinner was interrupted by their psychotic neighbor out back, screaming and cursing like a drunken Englishman ( ;)).

So, in summary, by giving ME this light, you:

  • Help keep two very cute dogs in loving home
Help keep a fairly cool Hawaiian out of the hospital due to high blood pressure and stress
Help to promote world peace (at least in my neighborhood)
Help the ecology and environment by lowering my water consumtion

Haha, for real though...I back out of this one.  Let it go to somebody that can really use it for something good.  Thanks again

My wife and I joined another couple of friends and drove to Vegas years back for a Tom Jones concert.  Was freakin hilarious!  Dude is a cheeseball performer, but ya gotta love'm.  I've never heard "Whats up smurfcat" sung quite the way he performed it live for the ladies.... :o

I have a lot of reasons for wanting a light like that..  ;)

1. I live outside the city and it would be useful for walking the dog.
2. Would be handy at work, when customers come in with used parts that needs to be identified..
3. Did I mention I'm from Denmark and the official sellers here is ripping us off.?
4. My tiny eo1 misses a big brother..
5. It's very cool ..  8)

Thanks for the chance mate..  :salute:

Hmmm, probably never gonna win but here goes  :D

I'm very interested in getting into Search and rescue, and have been a paramedic/event cover for 3 years.
This light would be very handy when working at night and when i get into SAR.

Thanks for the kind gesture Millhouse

Hmmmmm. OK, here goes.

I'm Dave and I would like the TK10 because I'm a greedy b@stard that believes that you can't ever have too many things that you like. I would use it for lighting things up in the dark and stuff.

The chances of saving anyone's life with it, or indeed anyone else benefiting from me winning it, are pretty slim, if not non existent.

Thanks for the give away, my address is:

Dave K............

Oooh, what a lovely thing to give away

I'm not sure I have a really good reason for wanting one except that my name is Christine and I am a flashoholic :D

I have a couple, but nothing that bright and I would promise never to shine it in the eyes of my coronary patients! That would just be mean... although.... there is a bed shortage at out hospital...

Anyhoo, you rock for doing such a cool giveaway, and may the best woman win  ;)

Wow, thanks Millhouse this is a very generous giveaway  :salute:

I don't have a funny story or a job that would require such an awesome torch but I would like to win this Fenix TK10 as my torch 'collection' consist of Far Eastern knock off's. While these are fit for purpose I would love to have the real deal  :tu:

Much thanks,

Dan
