Wenger Official Scouts
on: March 31, 2010, 10:19:49 PM
Hi

I sent an email to WEnger asking about a older Scout model and in the reply they sad it was retired, also in the reply i got some pictures,
i may have missed a topic if they may have been posted earlier.
I have tryed to find the date when the first Wenger lockblade(85mm) was introduced and i found some models in the 1991 catalogue if i remember correct, very interesting lock that they got patented, then i found info saying it is much older early 80s??.

Check here about half way down for some dates and one will be about the Pack Lock locking main blade system date.

What specific older Wenger Scout model were you asking about? Do you have a description or photos?

HI

Thanks! yes then this must be so :tu:

The model i got is one of my favorites, on the box it has the number 1 17 91 and under 100 that does not look like price tag, I estimate this knife from the 90s, however it has the older type saw with longer spaces, i found one time an article on Sosak with a model called Securite 17 that looks like mine

The Scout emblem is official and is inlay of non magnetic material. Not the best pictures.

Sweet looking knife and it NIB. I found one of these recently. The inlay should be nickel-silver.

I have one also, same code on the box.  I bet yours doesn't smell of moth balls though.  I've had it a couple of years now and still the smell lingers ::)
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
