Poor snake. To live long enough to get that big then get kilt. :P

I once helped out a guy that supplied "hot" snakes to zoos. He had a few big rattlers but not that big :o

Poor snake.  I think they should have relocated him instead of killing him.  Just because it is poisonous doesnt mean it should be killed.  Rattlesnakes by nature, are cowards and will flee first, bite only when threatened.

Being Chinese... the only use I can think of for the dead rattlesnake is submerging it in a big vat of medicinal wine.. but I do agree with FC that in the first place it shouldn't be killed just like that.

I think the knife in the photo is the blade to a BuckTool 360 type tool, I had one and I think it's a pretty good match.
