Those are beautiful!

That's definitely something I had in mind to get into next.  There are a few modifications I want to make to one, but I'll probably end up getting one just to figure it all out (and crash it) before I start getting fancy.

Gotta get me a few of those...

Actually I have been thinking of scratchbuilding a CH-46.  I see there are kits but they are wildly out of my price range, and I figure if I put one together myself I'll be able to mount the camera permanently rather than stick it on as an afterthought.

Plus I'm a glutton for punishment!

Very cool vid... but I prefer to fly the helicopters.  Much more challenging IMHO.  Other than a good landing, it seems like it would get boring just going back and forth all the time.  At least with a heli you can do alot more and go some interesting places!

I think that Honeybee might just be my next heli...

BTW, there's something I was thinking about doing, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the matter.  I have thought about putting floats on the legs of my Mosquito and trying a water landing in the tub...  if all goes well, I'd probably try it with the HoneyBee when I get one.  There's a lake across the road that's usually not too choppy.

Would it work or am I too stupid for words?

you can buy floats for helis
good idea but you have got to have full controll of the heli when doing it

Yeah, that probably would be me...  That's exactly what happened to my old Air Hogs plane...
