And, if it weren't for RedRamage spearheading the entire thing, it would never have happened!Def
You don't want to know how many websites I have on the "back burner," waiting to be developed into something worthwhile. Def
Of course... it's going to be basically a cross between Multitool.org and Car & Driver.I just need to find the time to get off me arse and do something with it!Def
Oh, there's always a next step. I'm still looking for a NUMBER of different 58mm models. The quest to have as all of those will likely never be complete. I'm also branching out Spartan colors as well.
If he's anything like me, he's well acquainted with the bottoms of his pockets!Def
No, no... certainly not bottom less. But remember, the 58mm generally cost significantly less than the bigger models. My "colors" case that has 31 different cellidor 58mm are all Classics, Classic SDs, Signature Is, or Signature IIs. Even if you assume that retail for all of 'em was $20 (which it wasn't), that's only $640 over a 10 year period of collecting. Now, obviously I have a lot more than just those 31 knives, but the point is that for the price of a One-Handed Trekker ($31 from felinevet), I can get 3 or more classics off eBay.
Well, I've always been a bit of a SAK fan. My uncle used to show me the different SAKs he had when I would see him and I thought it was really neat all the tools he had. When I grew up a bit, I started to carry a SAK myself, but then it was purely as a tool. Then, about 10-15 years ago I was looking through a Smokey Mountain Knife Works Catalog that my Father-in-law had. I really marveled at the many different SAKs pictured. Until then I'd been pretty much limited to what I might see in a display case at Witmark (Anyone remember those stores?) or Meijer's or something. What I really thought was cool was the one picture of the that showed a number of the 58mm sorta "stacked up" together, all in different colors. I decided right then and there that I wanted a collection of SAKs. It just popped in my head that that's what I wanted to do. I've been slowly adding to my collection ever since, but I've always had a fondness for the 58s, and specifically the differently shades/styles/colors that the 58s come in ever since.
