Mystery SwissGrip Spring Question
on: April 18, 2010, 03:49:27 AM
I recently purchased to WengerGrips / SwissGrips, a Red and a Black.  Nice!

However, I have a mystery that I'm sure someone can explain before I disassemble one of the tools.  Each of the tools came with the ''Spring'' just loose in the box.  I can't find anything in the instruction page on what it might be used for, I can only guess maybe so the Pliers will be spring loaded, but I can't find anyone mentioning anything about that.

Does any one know what this spring is used for?

It's meant to attach the bit driver extension to the plier handle. :)  (you DID get a bit driver extension....didn't you?) :-\

Here's a stock pic from the Encyclopedia:

Admittedly, its not the most secure method for carrying the bit extension... ::) :P

Thank You!

Yes I did get the Bit-Driver extension, but I NEVER would have guessed that's what the spring was for.  I figured one just stuffed it in the carry case with the bits.

I'm glad I asked, I just could not see it being put in the tool.

That is a kooky way of holding the bit driver extension  :o :o
No wonder it is not unusual to find second hand SwissGrip's missing the bit extension tool  :(
