91mm SAK as a 1/4 inch driver

Apologies if this is going over old ground, but it looks like the cap lifter/bottle opener on the 91mm SAK can be used as a 1/4 inch driver.
Maybe not the ideal arrangement if your task is to bolt the rocket boosters onto a space shuttle, but might be useful when you're otherwise stuck.

Well I don't think I've heard of that trick before myself. Nice find.

Me neither. How did you end up discovering that? There must be a story in it
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Nice find mate!
I wonder whether that could work with any of the MT bit kits...

Thanks all.
Short answer to how it came about is too much time on my hands!
Not sure about MT bit kits, but if you go to the other end of the SAK, the can opener will work on SOME hex drive bits (see additional pics below), depending on how close to spec the hex size is.
My cheapo hex bits are gripped, the less cheapo ones slip

Hmmm... I think I have an older Gerber bit kit at home... I'll give it a try tonight and report back tomorrow. Perhaps someone with more bit kits (LM, SOG) could also have a look?

Update - I've since tried this with the combo tool on a Vic Compact;
- 91mm combo tool can be used as a 1/4 drive, although the fit is not as good as with the bottle opener/cap lifter on other 91 mm Vics;
- combo tool will definitely not grip hex drive bits.
