That´s some real vintage G-stuff!
I have one of those, too but don´t dare to wear it.

Nice 5400 there. Finding original 5700 resin is nearly impossible these days, so you've got a nice vintage there.

What kind of G is it, and can you get a picture or two of what's happening?

Exactly. In case you are not sure, the Model number can be found on the backplate - 2 or 3 letters and a 4 digit number (example: DW-5600, GWM-45600)

Resin root, oh dear, a big deal on g's, all the bezels will fall apart, ones will last more then others, but keep thems a drawer away from sunlight, that's one care to take! Our buy a spare one, right after you purchase the watch :)

It's hard to beat the DW-5600E on value for the money. The selling point for me on the GW-M5610 would be the look that it shares with the classic DW-5000c. I could really do without the solar and atomic time features personally, but I do like the look of it. The prices for that particular watch seem to be all over the shop as of late though.

Got the DW-5600, rather than the GW-M5610.  Nice retro shape, light, comfy to wear (so far).  Very happy with it. :tu:

This seemed to be the best thread for that, so:

does this look Genuine? does this model exist?

http://www.dinodirect.com/g-shock-gw-7900-with-box-p42152611.html?affid=244

The price seems very low, but Dinodirect is not really known for fakes, but there is no mention of Casio on the page, but the pictures show a Casio...  I may get one, as the price is low..... maybe.

My watch knowledge is  even less than my multitool knowledge   :D

EDIT: It seems to be this Casio model,  IT IS the same -look at the time .... : http://www.casio.com/products/Watches/G-Shock/G7900-1/

I probably answered my own question: here are some similar ones..

Tried wearing a G for a while, couldn't get used to it. I'm still a big Timex fan. That's why I have my entire Casio collection up for sale

The negative display one is cool. :tu:

I have a GW-810BD and like it quite a bit. I should do a G group shot at some point too.
